I was adopted as an infant and raised in a remote small town away from anything that sparked any interest. I escaped as soon as I could but it was difficult finding my way.I ran away, I married, divorced, and joined the military before I finally realized where I wanted to place my energies.

I went back to college to earn my degrees in Fine Art. I have to admit, I have choses schools that no longer exist in the form I began which is fitting since it seems I am always in a constant state of flux and transformation.

I earned my undergraduate degree at The Corcoran College of Art+ Design, in Washington, DC. I also attended Studio Art Centers International (SACI) in Florence, Italy, and I finished my MFA at Art Institute of Boston which is now Lesley University  College of Art and Design in Cambridge, MA.

I currently live in Albuquerque, New Mexico where I am influenced by the vast open spaces that makes me think of emptiness.

I continue to look for opportunities to travel and dive into researching women’s issues as a way to find the threads of connection in a meaningful way to understand resilience of humans. Particularly now as we live in a world where women’s reproductive autonomy is at stake.

I have had exhibitions in California, Massachusetts, New Mexico, Washington, DC, Canada, and Italy.

Most recently, I traveled to Ireland to enjoy a month long residency in the Burren where I  found inspiration from delving into the concept of identity through place.
